×9 trick: to find 7 × 9, think 7 × 10 = 70, minus 7 = 63. "Multiply by 10, subtract the number."

For ×8, double three times: 5 × 8 = 5 × 2 × 2 × 2 = 10 × 2 × 2 = 40.

×7 has no simple trick — memorize through patterns. Notice 7×8=56, 7×7=49 (square), 7×6=42.

The digits of ×9 products always sum to 9: 63 (6+3=9), 72 (7+2=9). Use this to verify answers.
